In fact, 10% of total Edo residence (1M) pilgrimaged every year.

Afuri Shrine (725 meters) is the designation of Mt.Oyama Pilgrimage and has 2,200 years old with the panoramic view of Kanto plain (2 michelin stars).
Traditional events (Osameda-Dachi) have been continued since Edo period (1603-1876).
Dachi means a sword and, for good luck or victory, the people of the Edo
donated their sword and brought back the sword donated by other people
from this shrine.
The adjacent café "Seki-Son" is famous for the panoramic view of Kanto plain.
On the way to the shrine, there are many interesting places like mysterious temple called "Chatou-Dera,""Koma-sando," and Cable car (6 min ride).
It is said that along the way back from this temple, "Chotou-Dera," you may see
someone who looks like the deceased.
There are many traditional shops lined up on "Koma-Sansou" (700m) and
you can enjoy our local foods and souvenirs.
